furniture layout idea fro living room
Comments (4)Hi Dr. Retro, Thanks for your reply . We are very happy for our home and can’t wait to move in. At the moment, it’s just an empty shell and we will buy furniture piece by piece to fill up the house slowly.x I have been learning a lot about home decor and furniture arrangement from the internet lately! Can you comment on my floor plan in the picture? Is this how you would put the corner lounge in the living room?...See MoreFurniture placement for awkward living room layout
Comments (3)where does the short hallway lead and is it possible to remove that wall? with small children i would be keep as much clear floor area as possible with easy access to storage for games and toys and there appears to be enough space for two x three seater lounges and two small armchairs (that can be easily moved into different locations and but having furniture with open legs instead of covered to the floor and small coffee tables and/or foot stools will help the space feel less crowded...See MoreHow to work with those dark tiles and room layout.??
Comments (6)I would be looking at getting two or three large matching floor rugs delivered from Ikea. Use each rug to define the functional are of the space. For instance have one rug centered under the dining table, one (or two) centered under the living area. Their external rugs meant for alfresco areas are almost indestructible when it comes to pets, kids and dirt. https://www.ikea.com/au/en/cat/large-medium-rugs-10692/ There are also lots of online rug stores that can deliver with a much broader range in colours and sizes to Ikea. Also, consider some standard lamps to uplight and brighten the space. Comments (2)The present layout sort of works , but the fact you sort of have a hallway through the middle is fairly inefficient . I suspect I'd put your TV on a cabinet , just in front of the sunroom wall . Why I say that is because my gut feeling is most noise will transfer through ( or under or around ) the glass doors , not the wall itself . If you have the TV over the other side of the room ( the wall closest the front door etc ) the sound may even carry directly across the room , whereas 'pointing back' from that wall may actually get less transference . That means you can use the whole lounge , people can walk through , but around furniture if need be -- a couple of chairs along what is presently the 'hall' if needed/desired , for example . If there is still too much noise ( remember not all BNB guests are mute mouses too ! ) , depending on how often it gets used and whether you also use it too , you might have to consider removing the doors , and framing and walling the cavity ....See More- 7 years ago
