I'd use White Watsonia. Yellow/cream undertone's. It doesn't cover as well as some other's but it's a great colour. Ceiling the same but in ceiling paint. Easier to cut in.....

Bright white trims always look great.

A bigger window may help for natural light. Light comes from all direction's and depend's on shading from tree's as well as anything else.

Our South facing living area has so much light from 4 metre wide stacker door many think we're North facing.....

Sometimes you are better to go with a cosy feel and a stronger colour rather than white which can feel cold in south facing poorly lit areas.

I would definitely recommend a white with warm undertones and not blue tones. The natural light in the south facing aspect has a natural blue tone to it so unless you are in Queensland and what the cool effect, it needs warming up with the colours you use. Natural white has some yellow and red pigments as well as black. The small amount of black makes it cover well whereas some of the more yellow undertoned whites dont cover well and you need more coats as MB Design and Drafting mentioned. Use the same white for all. Half strength on ceiling in flat finish and trims (satin) works well.
