Bathroom window covering.
Comments (45)I also have a window like that in our shower - it may, but doesn't normally get wet from the shower. I have put in a thin venetian blind in white (made from plastic) very cheap, under $5. I am in process of making an puffy austrian blind to hang above the window, for a bit of colour I am making it from a shower curtain). It will be there for looks, I may never pull it down. The venetian gives privacy and blocks the light a certain amount....See MoreBathroom paint job
Comments (35)If I walked into a bathroom that had painted tiles and I didn't have the money to repair it, or I liked the original yellow, I'd be dark. Once you paint it, the tiles will definitely need replacing at some stage. At work I always say, will your quick fix make more work in the long run. Change the taps to chrome(stainless is too expensive) and leave it. It's a clean functioning space that will not turn anyone off....See MoreBathroom colour advice
Comments (13)Hello, Painting the tiles will only result in it scratching off and looking worse than when you begun. To upgrade the look of your space with minimal effort and cost I suggest the following: - Change the shower curtain to something more stylish - Change the light fixture to something more modern - Add blinds - white wood or light wood to tie in the white and hide the brown windows - Change the fixtures - towel rail, toilet roll holder, taps. You don't have to spend a fortune to bring the bathroom out of the past - You could DIY a box to hide the top of the toilet, creating the built-in look. New buttons on this plus creating space to decorate. You could do this in wood, paint it or any other material that is economic and suits your style. - Maybe paint the rest of the walls an antique white, the yellow tone in the existing walls is out of date and not very 'fresh' - New door handles - an easy way to accessorise a room Hope this helps!...See MoreCoordinating bathroom and laundry tile colours
Comments (18)Hi Creativelychallenged, thanks for the feedback and I love the floor tile we have chosen too! It’s called Riverview Stone and has a really nice feel underfoot. We are doing the Reno very much for us, we bought our house about 4 years ago and have no plans to leave it. After years of moving across the country as a defence family (12 houses, lots of very neutral bathrooms) I am on a mission to use a bit of colour, especially as it’s a kids bathroom and deserves to be nice and bright :). Our kitchen and ensuite are on my wish list, hoping to give them an update in the next few years, so this is our first venture into renovating territory.......See Moresiriuskey
