Painting dilemma for walls, windows, skirts etc
Comments (8)I think a deeper neutral tone would work nicely and really make the window and door trims stand out. Also look nice with the black pendant light. Comments (9)Hi Joanne, A seating nook is always a lovely addition to a home. The standard depth can range any where between 430mm - 610mm deep. However, it always depends on the area in which it is being placed, sometimes they can be smaller or larger. Personally I see nothing wrong with a wide seating nook, it allows for a much more comfortable lounging area. By adding larger cushions against the wall it will take up some of that excess space. Layering cushions can also fill the space quite well. Below is an example of a rather wide window seat that looks very inviting. The link below, which includes the image attached, displays some more window seats with beautiful cushion arrangements. http://www.re-polished.blogspot.com.au/2013/02/style-inspiration-nightingale-design.html...See MoreAwkward sun room dilemma
Comments (12)I believe it is all about softening the look of this area & you will love it. I like the idea of the white flowing curtains, especially either side of a large mirror hung on those slats (which will reflect more light around & make the area seem more spacious). Put in a rug, comfy chair & small coffee table (a multi-use style with storage underneath that can be used as a side table & an ottoman). Then dress the area with an outdoor rug, basket (with a throw & cushions in it), some artwork, a pendant light, fairy lights, & plants (love the idea of a planter box along top of brick wall with some artificial plants hanging down). Add a mobile drinks trolley (with an ice bucket), styled with candles & magazines & you have a complete chill out zone....See MoreLiving room dilemma what advice
Comments (6)I think a combination of patterned cushions and solid coloured cushions, drawing inspiration on the current colours you are utilising or a few shades lighter or darker, will help tie your space together :) Don't forget to add some lovely ambient lighting to help set the mood for a warm and homely space... and some lovely fresh flowers - gorgeous :)...See Morerobandlyn
