Design Features/External Colour Help!

Hi! Getting organised to build our new home. Planning on rendering over a polystyrene product but unsure of colour scheme and mainly, placement and product choice for decorative feature panels so it doesn't look too plain and boring.

As far as the colour goes for the main areas, I think a few shades lighter than what the pictures show (more like the picture with the garage in view). Something that goes well with greys. Planning on a colourbond roof in one of the greys. Maybe silver or matching colour of roof for window frames.

For feature areas we are thinking onr of CSR's Cemintel products in Textured Ebony or Jagged Ash (unless there is a better option??)
What product, colour should we use on the 2nd storey?

Timber look garage and front doors.

Any help/suggestions would be muchly appreciated!

With an expensive build like this, I''d definitely call in a paint colour consultant.

it's such a great looking house already and feature panels will make it look fussy. Consider plain walls, timber doors with toning dark brown colour for fascias and have a light coloured roof to reflect heat

Jagged ash feature would look nice Given how beautifully it sits in hill I'd let the roof colour melt into it or the sky so maybe eucalypt or dune nothing heavier and no brown fascia white facade would be nice but will show dirt so needs to be on walls protect by eaves eg maybe just entry and upper storey but just suggestions to play around with house looks amazing

For the car port I would keep it simple and open. Use a skillion colorbond roof attached to the house and timber support posts. Do you want to continue with the Tuscan theme? If so I think either go a whitish colour or a darker charcoal colour for the windows and doors. If you intend to paint the exterior walls then you open a whole other world! The front fence would look amazing out of sandstone if that is in your budget, otherwise what about a stackable stone finish which you could glue into a Hebel wall?

I really like colorbonds wallaby... they have some contrasting colours listed below... this might give a dark enough look without being too dark. however would you consider changing roof and trims first and then see how you feel about the brickwork? It might be all you need to do for an updated look. I'd maybe do roof and gutters same colour and then down pipes in a colour similar to bricks so not to stand out..., garage doors maybe the woodland grey?

I did a cavity door to my small bathroom. I reused the existing door and left the existing door handle. It was a beautiful door and that way stayed within the look of the rest of the house.

Interior decorators specialise in interior and exterior (time for a name change). Paint companies use colour consultants who are trained interior decorators on call. They have access to 4000 colours whereas you may only look at 100.

Did you use an architect as they could help or steer you in the right direction in regard to suitable consultants Look on the Houzz top menu for Find a Pro in your area and check their reviews.
