Thank you :) still a bit to do, so will post another photo of the finished product (when we eventually get there!). Unsure of the cost of the skylight as that was already installed when we purchased the house. The floor tiles are standard 300x300 rectified porcelain, and the wall 300x600... I'm sorry I can't remember the names of them. They were purchased from Swan Ceramics in Perth though. If I happen to find the receipt I'll be sure to post on here the product names :)

Hi there Nick, looking at your photos you look like a modern hamptons family which is lovely, do you live in a warm climate. I did like the photo you posted of the open plan living and think that you are on the right track with interior colours I have marked out how I would like the first floor, I have moved the kitchen to the end wall to line up with BBQ outdoor kitchen, plumbing for this would have easy access via the garage below. The white tiles look lovely and hard wearing for the entrance foyer and Rumpus room, the stairs in timber due to the amount of traffic even continuing in up stairs foyer kitchen dining living, Carpet in bedrooms and downstairs theater. Kitchen in white but possibly Shaker style white doors these are very popular. Using existing sliding exterior doors if possible from kitchen.Dining to verandah, I think this ceiling would be best kept white to help reflect light back indoors, the tiles appear to be in good order but you might consider changing these along with new upstairs flooring Some where for a laundry shute would be handy, actually a Dumb Waiter so you could move the laundry with ease both up and down! The roof painted a soft colour, grey/white or off white, the verandah railing could be the same colour or you could do glass. If you are on a tight budget I would do the following: Change the handles on the cabinet. This is inexpensive and makes a massive difference. You can buy cheap handles from bunnings/ikea, I have even seen them at kmart Consider a pot plant between the cabinet and shower with a nice luscious plant like a peace lilly or something similar If you can stretch your budget maybe consider changing the tapware? This may cost a bit as you would need a plumber. I did read somewhere you can spray paint the taps but you need special paint, this would be a lot cheaper than getting new taps. Changing the cistern may be expensive but places like kmart and ikea have great wooden/bamboo covers that act as a shelf to go over the toilet semi disguising it which you can then use for more storage. If your budget stretches I would get a new mirror but if not its not a big deal. Also maybe a nice floor matt, could go bamboo/wood to match the toilet cover. the low window restricts using the end wall for a shower or vanity and the room is not really wide enough to have shower and vanity on opposing walls so, unless you plan to use a double shower and double vanity the space under the window is best used by a narrow bath....surprising how often you miss a bath once it's gone
