Why not keep your front door as is (paint with another colour if you wish) and if the budget allows, add wrought iron gates over the existing doors in a glossy dark grey (black maybe?) This would pick up on the wrought iron you already have at the top of the steps. You could also maybe think bout adding glass panels to your doors?

If you are aiming for the Scandi look, steer away from any timbers that have a red tone. You may wish to consider a charcoal or black wood wash over the Meranti to maintain some relevance to the Scandi look - best to test this on a sample before addressing the door - Good luck! Doors, skirting and architraves specified as enamel gloss .I have noticed that the doors are a stark white and the architraves and skirting look yellow compared .I think the doors have been 2 packed in high gloss ? Emporite. Wondering if we have any comeback here as emporite was NOT specified and not wanted and the colour is clearly different (speci just said enamel gloss) It’s very noticeable and annoying ! Feeling angry as we upgraded the door type and they have beautiful bronze hardware . Appreciate advice from painters ,builders or anyone .Thanks in advance !!!
