Beautiful view Jane, gosh you're on the side of a mountain no? Yes if left natural the cedar will weather to grey but to me that looks weathered & dry & possibly not in keeping with your house style. I still like the red door & think the cedar weatherboards look to be in good condition. I would start by painting the gutter & fascia in the graphite, then the pergola as well & lose the cinder if that is the light colour. Funny thing, I live in a pole home too but without your amazing views!

Dark green does not go with your house & black would be a bit harsh too against the brick. For a softer contrast what about the Colorbond colour Windspray. It is a softer grey with a bluish green tint & will look good with the white roof too.

We used a brush-type gutter guard for house and garage. See photo. We didn't have large trees right up near the house, but as we were in a valley, we caught a lot of wind so dirt and grass seeds found their way in. Also, some birds slipped under the brush and tried to nest. I wouldn't have thought they could stand the stiff bristles, but they did. We were told by installer to have the gutters cleaned in a year or two, but we had them back to clean in 3 years. They removed all the brushes and cleaned them and the gutters, then put brushes back. We were happy with how well they worked, but as I say, we didn't have trees close to house (it was a native garden so not much leaf litter). Hope this helps.

Hi Danny, What colour did you end up choosing for your eaves? I too have Woodland Grey gutters & fascia and need to decide on colour of eaves.
