Your door supplier should have given you colour swatches of any of the Colorbond range of colours. The samples are relatively true to colour and you can quite decisively use them to narrow the choice down. Check out the Colorbond range of colours on our website (scroll down to "colours" and click on them) http://www.asapgaragedoors.com.au/garage-doors. Consider Ironstone as a first choice which looks like the blended colour of the driveway, or Woodlands Grey, Basalt, Jasper or even Monument. Keep in mind that lighter colours will stand out more against the brickwork while darker colours will recede and the doors will not dominate the look of the house. The white-backed curtains are a good example of how colour can be a distraction. On first glance at the photo, the curtains stand out. I would change the back of the curtains to a darker colour. If you can't find a Colorbond colour that suits, you can elect to have the doors powdercoated in any Dulux colour.

haha believe it or not, my garage door is still covered up in alucobond cover, so i haven't actually seen the colour yet and i don't want to peel it off just yet incase it gets damaged...Will wait til all the tradies have finished. Hey Dounia The colour and the way it has been painted is very much what we saw in the late 90's and early 2000's when we all went through the textured paint feature wall craze. But, saying that Paint and design technology have come a long way since then and I would encourage you not to give up on the copper idea and use a modern approach and product. Dulux have recently added their new range of Design Effects, Here's the copper and concrete look. There's also other options available at www.dulux.com.au. The back of the house you've nailed it -- all windows in the charcoal . Do the pergoda in a similar stain , and it's done . The front though -- you say the roof is Manor Red -- it looks like a fading brown to me ? Might be the photo , but I would go redder there -- it looks in that picture that it will need doing soon ? The one area I would concentrate on though is that gable ! I'd do all the upright boards and the surrounding boards in a really crisp white , and leave the infill in primrose or beige . Subtle but it will lift it . You then have the option of leaving the windows as they are , or going all black / charcoal / monument -- the latter would look more modern , but i don't think that would be the best look for the house -- I'd leave them as they are and embrace the period .
