How can I make my ensuite bigger? Moving W/I robe?
Comments (24)Having lived for years with a front loader in the kitchen under counter and now with a good sized laundry I am resenting the laundry for the space it wastes! I would rather have a "european solution" and a good en-suit and walk in :) really it is a matter of how you want to live, in reality if you spend your life considering resale you won't enjoy your home, prospective purchasers will love or hate whatever you do, those that don't want a space solution will be the ones who want the big ensuite and robe anyway! Do it with love then others will love it too, good luck...See MoreHow do I make my pool and pergola thing look inviting ??
Comments (17)Had you considered reconfiguring and adding to the pool fence in order to incorporate the pergola inside pool fence boundary? I can certainly understand there are pros and cons to this, but I thought I would throw it out there. In any case, landscaping, lighting and painting pergola a more harmonious colour seem very good ideas to me. If you sketch out on paper some of the various plans and ideas you like or have in mind, and colour-in the different features, this might help you visualise things better. It's sort of rudimentary, but I have done it several times and it did help me 'see'. Best wishes, and please keep us posted on how you are going....See Morehelp me make this look more inviting
Comments (15)Hi there! Megan from Bluethumb online art gallery here. I definitely agree with has been said previously, that you need a rug to really ground the area and define the space. I like the new arrangement of the furniture, it adds to the cosiness of the space. What you really need are some soft furnishings - matching cushions instead of the real mixed bag you have, throw rugs and some nice decorative aspects on the side table. Consider playing with texture to add dimension. I see that you have an artwork already on one wall. I would suggest moving it to the wall on the window, and adding a much larger piece where it is currently hanging. The scale of the artwork makes the wall and room feel much emptier and off balance. I would suggest a piece like this one by one of our best-selling artists, Elaine Green. The proportions of the work will really help to balance out the room. https://www.houzz.com.au/products/my-view-or-the-way-i-see-it-by-elaine-green-prvw-vr~116704648 Some other suggestions for you: https://bluethumb.com.au/katherine-castle/Artwork/red-tailed-black-cockatoos-katherine-castle https://bluethumb.com.au/kat-las/Artwork/reflections-large-scale-1-8-meter-wide https://bluethumb.com.au/lilynova/Artwork/australian-glory-lily-nova Hope this helps!...See MoreHow can I make my house look more modern?
Comments (14)Thank you all for your comments, photos and links. Thank you all for your comments, photos and links. This style of house is what I like but I only have a small budget -$5000.00. I have researched roof painting and read several forums where people have painted their own roofs with good results as long as they were meticulous with the preparation. I will remove the shutters and definitely engage the services of a garden designer. I live in Perth and we haven't seen rain for awhile. Seems sensible to get rid of the lawn. And I will further research painting or re surfacing the driveway and change in the future. But, where do I start? What should I do first to implement change? Thank you for any further comments....See Morescottevie
