Comments (6)There are many different styles to choose from and it can be confusing. Why not have a look at the rugs on Houzz [Floor rugs[(https://www.houzz.com.au/products/floor-rugs-prbr0-br~t_13167) and save the ones you like to an idea book? This will help you to identify what you like design & colour wise. I like your room and as jmm1837 said a traditional style will suit your decor. Comments (18)I second the idea for a row of cupboards- but make them glossy white (or a bold colour) to differentiate from the rather bland brown matt cupboards at the base. They are your base, make the wall-mounted ones sing. The problem is that the window is too low to really look out of - it's purpose is to illumiante the benches I guess. So accept this and the wall cupboards should work. Leave the pyramid hood, it's a great central feature...See MoreKitchen Plan advice/ideas help!
Comments (8)leave alfresco till you live in the house for a while but adding furniture inside helps suggest the best floorplan options and my suggestions would be to combine the wiw and biw in the master bedroom and have a full wall with door on the ens to keep steam out of the wiw ..there's already plenty of other storage so lose the small linen near the garage door in favour of a more shelves in wiw and increasing height of all cabinets to the ceiling provides extra storage without losing floor space and the extended bench in the dining room would provide plenty of pantry drawers so you could move the RA to the narrow pantry and have a more generous linen cupboard next to the bathroom, the laundry has been reversed to keep overnight washing noise away from bed (but sound reducing insulation can also be added inside all walls) the front entry would be more versatile with a couple of small lounge chairs, bookshelves as well as a desk and the long hallway will make a great display wall for some colourful artworks...See MoreRenovation options/ideas advice
Comments (6)So your basement is currently 1880mm height effectively , and you may lose some of that ? I'm 1.9 , so I'd knock my head , but the main reason I wouldn't consider anything apart from a garage / storage is the way it looks -- you'll spend $10's of thousands with flooring and power and lighting and walls and paint and wallpaper and doors -- and most people will screw their nose up if looking at buying . I know its your place , and you may intend to stay there forever , but at some atge it will have to be sold ....See More
