Do either of your options for overheads line up vertically with the under bench cabinets?

any size wall cabinet is OK as long as the doors don't smack you in the face when open ...test your existing cabinets and you should see that a door that is 300mm wide or less is the most comfortable to use but what is the width of the wall? do you have a stove or cooktop? what is the width of the stove and the rangehood? is the rangehood a canopy or does it slide out under the wall cabinet? where does the spice rack fit and is the spice rack just a 150 wide gap filler or an essential part of your kitchen design..and a 1050 base corner cabinet would be much more useful than a 150mm gap filler with a 900 corner cabinet

just realised that my suggestion has overlapped with Dr Retro and i agree that you should be able to have (from left to right) a 900 wall cabinet with three equal doors, a 900 wall cabinet with the 900 wide rangehood and three equal doors and a 600 wide wall cabinet with three equal doors ie 8 x 300 wide doors with the left hand side of the range hood wall cabinets lined up with the 900 corner cabinet BUT is there any special reason why the wall cabinet for the rangehood was suggested as 1000 wide?? if so, the same concept applies ie left hand wall cabinet would be 850 wide with three equal doors, 1000 wide range hood cabinet with three equal doors, right hand cabinet 550 wide with two equal doors..ie 5 doors about 270 wide and 3 doors about 330 wide above the rangehood but aim for the 8 x 300 doors.. the cabinet maker should allow for all the necessary clearances and fillers to create a uniform appearance

always good to have professional explanations and makes perfect sense but the size of the door shouldn't impact the access into the corner isn't it the width and position of the cabinets?..if the cabinet maker needs to have two separate cabinets to make up the 850 width space then the wider cabinet can be placed into the corner and the smaller next to the range hood although with different hinges i understood that we should be able to make one cabinet with three doors all opening right to left to have a uniform appearance and easy access..

Yes it is definetely the width and position of the cabinets, im just working off the drawings above that pudla provided, saying that, if i was going to have a 850 wide cabinet, id only stick with 2 x doors, not 3, they'll look too small.

can you show what base cabinets you are having, and have you checked to see what size overhead you will need for the rangehood

This layout has Base: 900cnr/900 drawers/600 drawers

Wall: 300 shelves/600 with 2 x 300 doors/900 2 x 450 doors/600with 2 x 300 doors.

My CAD is old and shows gaps between the end of doors/drawers and cabinets, but these would come together. The shelves in the left corner can work as a filler as often corner doors have a problem with opening back to the left and need a filler.

You mention a 250 spice rack, I use a 900 x 3 draw for this, 1st drawer cooking utensils 2nd drawer spices 3rd drawers pots and pans. The first two drawers have dividers to help keep utensils and spices separated, these came from Bunnings and are adjustable. You could use the 600 base drawers for this with not as much bending as you would have with the narrow 250 drawers. cheers
