Comments (8)i'd like some feedback on the two windows, as I am currently looking at the same thing without windows. Why r they there given the expanse of glass on other wall. My mum had two narrow vertical windows either side and as they were un curtained they look like black rectangles at night which I found spooky. They didn't let in much light because of trees outside, but I guess if u had a skyline view say they may be useful. They also compromised positioning of artwork....See MoreBest layout for this bathroom? (Includes stain glass window)
Comments (34)Decided on carrara marble 300x600 tiles and honed nero and carrera for the shower floor. Floor to ceiling for the shower and up to the 1300 from the floor and painting the rest. 1. What colour fittings best suit carrara marble and keeps the transitional victorian theme? 2. The 3.24 wall has plasterboard over exposed brick. Do you think it would look nice if I took the plasterboard off and left that part exposed brick? Any Response Appreciated!!...See MoreWhat's the best layout for my bathroom?
Comments (4)Hi, I think plan B with modification. I agree the toilet should not be visible directly from the door. Remove the wall cabinet (assuming this is what the box is) beside the vanity, and turn shower on to this wall. The cabinet could go beside the toilet or switch with the towel rail. My preference is to leave the door opening against the wall rather than into the room....See MoreWhat's the best layout for our family room?
Comments (22)Your lounge chairs before were too chunky for the space so the backing and arms on the tan couch were good for your room. Having a corner lounge only gives you the one option of were to place it and depending on the length it might be to big. Take the rug away and move everything out and mark out a floor plan with painters tape. Those two wing arm chairs are lovely and you should try to utilise them in your layout. You need something on the window wall to balance out the room, I'm not saying a couch but maybe the armchairs or an ottoman or a hall table that has thin legs and the light still passes through. Most photos pictured above are of large rooms and trying to replicate it in a smaller area is hard with the limited furniture options we have in Australia within a reasonable budget. But having anything within that area that is too chunky will look cluttered and claustrophobic. Measure your room and buy pieces according to how you live. If its a family only room fill it anyway you want. If you are having guests, personally I hate sitting close to others so a sectional wouldn't be ideal as I know I'm not the only one who doesn't like sitting with others too closely....See MoreNicole A
