External White Colour Help and Colorbond Roof Colour
Comments (20)I just googled & found this site, which quotes cost of R2.5 75mm. there are other suppliers as well. What was quoted to you for cost of roof installation, and was it itemised so you can see exactly what thickness the foil-backed insulation builder will use? I'm guessing the thinner (lower R factor). So, the new quote should reflect a credit for the cost of previous insulation, since it won't be used, then cost of thicker insulation added. Does that make sense? If you are unsure, best to speak with the builder. https://www.pricewiseinsulation.com.au/product/heavy-duty-fletcher-permastop/...See Moreexternal render colour
Comments (6)Hi, there are some great ideas here and loving or hating red bricks is a personal choice. I note that you are putting an Ironstone gate on the driveway and also considering Beige Royal. I wouldn't use these two colours together as Ironstone is a purple toned grey and Beige Royal is a yellow and pink toned white. The two don't go together. Instead I'd keep the Ironstone as it looks great with a red brick and red roof and try a grey white render like the one in the picture. If I can help with paint colours for the render I offer an online paint consultation for $99. Full details can be found on my website....See MoreIdeas on how to update old cream brick facade?
Comments (20)my suggestions includes cleaning all the brick walls and paving and repair any damaged pointing and grout, extending the roof sideways over a new garage without the Dutch gable, clean and paint the roof tiles in a mid colour or consider replacing tiles with Colorbond Steel for a more long lasting fix and opportunity to upgrade roof insulation, replace gutters in a dark colour and downpipes to match the brick colour, replace the steel fence with simple horizontal rails (and/or raise a solid brick fence to maximum height and render in the darkest fence colour) add Plantation shutters or venetians to allow light inside while retaining privacy and use Kate's idea of the pergola across the rear, add generous outdoor furniture to make an outdoor entertaining area, paint the garden retaining walls and fences in a darker version of the new gutter colour and fill the garden beds with shrubs to block out fences and neighbouring houses, keep the big palms and add some big shrubs and more palms to the front yard and paint the front door in the darkest version of the new gutter colour and what are the flat panels on the outside rear wall??...See MoreHelp with external colour choicrs
Comments (8)The house looks dated in those colours , but I love that you have a lighter buttery yellow on the wall to the right , and the pump or whatever that square cover is . What I would do to modernise then , is do all the trim in a crisp white ( it looks like the guttering already is ) BUT with maybe a fake vent added to that triangular , and do the triangle in a crisp yellow ( maybe the vent in crisp white ) ....See Morelegendaryflame
