Now with 5 in the bed most mornings an upgrade from our old double to a king was a necessity! Mind you I can still be found squished like a sardine in the middle. Got to love those morning snuggles :) 5 = 2 adults + 2 kids + 1 scruffy mutt!

Perhaps check with your local council to see if they have a plant list. Many councils here in NSW do this to assist homeowners with choosing native Australian plants and some introduced plants that grow well and are in keeping with the area. Of course it depends on the look of your house and whether your landscaping plan will compliment that, or whether you want a manicured look, or a natural look, cottage garden look (e.g flowers and hedges) or a beachy look (e.g. if you have a pool) and so on. Fruit trees sometimes need a different aspect to other trees, so separating food trees from general foliage is something to consider. Oleanders are off the list in many parts of NSW too. We recently put a fence in similar to yours but it has been painted black as our house is modern. We've been advised on lomandra, banksia and grevilias and lili pillys for a native garden as we already have lemon scented gums and ironbarks on the property. If you consider the building style of your home, and the trees common to the area you're in, sometimes that can give some inspiration

Have you come across any "woven" art in your professional travels? I have a friend who actually weaves tapestries on a loom as they did centuries ago thread by thread. They are exquisite and each a unique artwork. She works professionally on commission Very time consuming, meticulous and expensive and she also does it simply for relaxation and sells them. Wonder would there be anything along this line available commercially today? Such a "woven piece" would make an enormous impact in any room, so beautiful and unique in a bedroom especially if a design woven to order...but Yikes $$$$$. Afterthought...a painted MURAL designed to order might be a touch of luxury if you engaged somebody to do it and they presented you with a series of pictures for you to choose from.....that would not fall down! I did one for a friend's guest donga in Charleville QLD...she wanted a fantasy and had a lot of input herself, it was a collaborative effort and she got exactly what she wanted. Can't go wrong with a mural...can always paint over it when you want something different.

We have 600x400x30mm limestone pavers and would like to replace our old clay pavers with a more modern look. Question: Can a 400mm wide paver sit on top of a 350mm wide pool coping bed? The coping bed is raised about 150mm above the soil. About 20mm of the paver will go over into the pool side as an edge, 350mm lay on the coping bed, leaving 30mm hanging over, well, nothing. The limestone pavers are dense, heavy, 30mm thick. Question : do you think they will crack or break? Is it do-able or should we cut down the pavers to 350mm width (extra cost). Appreciate your advice Houzzers.
