For the walls you can look at a light grey. Perhaps Ammonite by F&B
But you really have to test out some colours. I suggest getting the paper paint swatches and see what works in the room, with the carpet (or a sample of the carpet). Then get testers of a couple of colours that look good enough to try out. Some greys have a red undertone, some a blue, some a green. You don't want them to clash. Depending on which way the room faces, the colours change too.

We like grey too. Light grey would go well with your carpet and the blue sofa would look lovely against the grey wall. It gives you enough space to choose any other colour for the living room decor, for the cushions, throws and pieces of art. It also looks amazing when combined with silver sculptures, this gives a space that little something extra.
