Best way to house a growing puppy?
Comments (163)Your question to an outside kennel, it will need to be tough. A GSD can chew almost anything , I think Canberra weather is way too cold to have Manny as an outside dog. Buy a extra large crate and keep him inside. Crate train your pup, they will learn to toilet train quicker there is a lot of info out there to google. GSD's need to be part of the family or there can be behavioural issues. Are you renting? is this the reason for the kennel outside?...See MorePlease help turn our hideous rockpiles into a functional garden!
Comments (106)Miranda You appear to be making all the right choices in life. I will be a little bit presumptuous by offering some advice on helping you to raise your child in touch with nature in this age full of all the electronic lures that keep the kids indoors. or, when outdoors, glued to a small screen, rather than the glory that surrounds them. I am writing a book about landscape architecture and have a section regarding the importance of embracing nature in the preschool years. - which I would like to forward that section to you. However, my computer skills are limited to email and US Mail. I don't even know how to attach a picture to the text. If you would like to receive this draft from my future book, send me your email or postal address, and I'll get it right off to you. My email is cascio.offsite@gmail.com Good luck with your new challenges and opportunities. Joe Cascio...See MoreIn which house would love to celebrate the Melbourne Cup?
Comments (17)I love the races and I do bet, big time $1.00 each way on my fave numbers, whichever jockey is wearing purple or a horse name I like the sound of. Have been known to lash out on Melb cup day with a $10 bet, just for a bit of fun. I go to local luncheon and buy some sweeps its all in fun and most functions are in aid of a charity. you have a nice meal a couple of drinks, play some games, sometimes watch a fashion parade. Then later watch the race that stops the nation. A fun day out. Oh, also get dressed up wear your finest hat and maybe win a bottle of wine. All good fun. One day to go to the Melbourne Cup the crowds dress crazy and have a great time. I have been to Sydney's Rosehill for the Golden Slipper but nothing on the Melbourne Cup. As for the alternative a deserted island, golden sand, and calm blue ocean, laying on my hammock with a fruity cocktail sounds devine....See More12 Days of Christmas: Comment to WIN a Frankie 'Spaces' Book!
Comments (19)All Christmas celebrations are hot now - the heating is turned up full blast in the North and the fan is turned up full blast in the South. The north is white with frost and snow, warm candlelight, the red of holly and mulled wine, green Christmas trees and hot food. The south is blue seas, white of pavlova, red strawberries, lush pine branches and cold food. Its like choosing a favourite child - each is beautiful and special in its own way. Having grown up in the warmth of the south, the cold of the north feels much more like a real Christmas....See MoreChiquit Brammall
