What color window frames for our contemporary country home?
Comments (11)@Rachael It's a dilemma, isn't it?! Our house in the bush has ended up with anodised window frames and galvanised iron cladding (i.e. silver that will dull to grey) with a Monument roof. The view is huge and I think the black window frames - while I love them would have looked too urban and have framed the view too much, if that's possible. The view is so big we wanted to look 'through' the windows and their frames. Also, as I said above, dusty exterior window ledges would have driven us nuts. However, if I were in an urban setting, I would have gone for black windows and the dark roof if my views were more intimate. Good luck with the decision making ......See Morerenovation a red gum country kitchen
Comments (6)taking all the knobs off to paint can be a pain as they need to be supported somehow to avoid the paint sticking to other surfaces and spoiling all your effort so if you can unscrew the knobs and put a big patch of sticky masking tape over the hole and then screw the knob back on loosely you can paint all the knobs on the doors and then remove the tape before the knob gets screwed back firmly..obviously all the usually prep with cleaning the knobs (and doors while you're doing a kitchen refresh) with solution of sugar soap, give a light sand before and between coats and then after all that fiddly painting you can stand back and admire all your work and with 20-30+? knobs the savings will be worth while and you won't have to decide which new knobs to buy..only have to choose a paint colour (white?) but you also won't have a whole collection of old knobs with no where to go...See MoreKitchen Colour - wall paint
Comments (3)Yeah I know what you mean... I have to paint it anyway as it needs repainting and the colour that is there has a pink undertone which really bothers me. not a pink person at all... So you would suggest just staying with an antique white or something and just adding all my colour with accessories?...See Morepaint colour help for grey kitchen
Comments (4)Try something to match your benchtop maybe natural white, hard to tell on iPad. Add some warm tones with chopping boards etx, you are seeing it at its worst....See MoreJE C
