The next time I decorate by a colour of the year will be the first time. Don't hold your breath. I have nothing against this particular colour but it doesn't work with all the things I've collected over the years, and I am not about to discard carpets bought after hard bargaining with dubious merchants in Istanbul or Islamabad because they don't "go" with a paint colour that someone voted "colour of the year." In its place, I think the colour would be quite nice (better than this years choices, certainly). It's just that my place isn't the right place for it.

Thanks for this suggestion. I've just had a look at a photo of a fence painted in this product and it looks great. ... It's been almost three years since we posted our original question on this site and we still haven't painted the fence! Some parts of the fence have turned grey, as they are exposed to more sun, but overall I do think a dark charcoal finish would be more attractive. :)

The first thing we noticed was the beautiful light created by the back window and the blue curtains either side of it. What a fantastic room!

I'd leave it black but consider painting the fence black (sorry, bit of a job). You'll be very pleased with the results. The fence will 'disappear', blending in with the fence your eyes won't rest on it at all. Your pool and pot plants will be the star. If you decide on a different colour I'd still suggest you paint the fence to match.
