Hot Water System : Continuous Flow or Storage Tank

Hello All,
I was chatting with the plumber today who is doing the work on our renovation. The conversation twisted toward whether or not we should install a storage hot water unit or a continuous unit.
The plumber indicated that he would never install a continuous hot water unit because under government regulations these must be limited to a total output pressure of 350 KPa...meaning that if you have a couple of showers...or taps/showers combined would limit you flow severely.
On a tank based unit however, the pressure regulation is at 500 KPa which will happily service a couple of showers.
He also indicated that a continuous flow unit would consume about 200 MJ/h for heating, while a tank based system would consume about 35 MJ/h and would be on for 2 hours per day to heat a 170 litre tank.
Can anyone validate any of these numbers or at least put me in the right direction where I can validate.
thank you Brant
