This year I'm going with the Star Wars theme and the options are pretty endless! Try a great teeshirt (Target has ones with a mini soundchip so you can listen to the theme music while you wear..Uniqlo's are more classy and better fabric); the Star Wars bath range is fab (available pretty much everywhere..). this great set is $15. Add a Star Wars Pez Dispenser ($3.50) and you'll have enough for a themed bag. Just using the force!!

Thank you so much for everyone's thoughts, it has honestly been very helpful. We are going to consider going right across the front of the house and over that problematic front door. Going to consider going across with the same space as we originally had going straight out. I'll keep everyone posted as I so appreciate all the help!!

Oklouise and Sirius, thanks for the ideas. Actually the first one could work us very well, removing part of the wall and having a partition instead of a door. A lot more work but we are pretty handy. Regarding the barn door, most of the people I talked to agreed it might date quickly, unless I use a different mechanism than the ubiquitous black one you see everywhere,maybe.
