Has anyone cut their sink drainer into their stone? I want to do it but am worried about stone chipping, I plan on using Caesarstone
Yes. I love it every day. I have Caesarstone too and no chips at all. I had five grooves cut. The only thing to note is that they can build up mould (especially as we have our dishrack on top) I just wipe them down once a day by pushing my finger wrapped in a cloth down the groove.
You can't stop Caesarstone chipping. I have plenty of chips on the edge of the benchtop where I load the dishwasher. Luckily the Marble Man can fix up your benchtop chips.

Advice on kitchen benchtops
A stunning look. Almost any surface has the potential to chip, stain or scratch - I agree with pantrybutler, its more a matter of selecting a surface that can be rejuvenated. Best of luck for your renovation.
