Your future in the home - is it a long term home and if so will polished concrete suit your taste in the future? 3. The style of your new home and the rest of the finishes both inside and outside your home. 4. Where you live and your lifestyle. There's many more points that need to be considered prior to making a decision this big. You might consider getting advice for the entire finishes selections. I love it, and are considering this myself which is why I can offer an insight to installation. Yours is luckily freestanding, however I would install this central to the long part of your L and enclose it within cabinetry, actually yours is Likely to just be faced with fake doors and no carcass behind, still a place to utilize storing buckets or baskets, even laundry powder, just not a standard cupboard. I would then actually install a stone benchtop making this technically undermount trough. You would still have the practical size and aesthetic impact this concrete relic has to contribute. Only, with the bench top area to make it a useable space.

I like industrial but the domination of concrete and timber needs to be balanced For one the bench is too blocky almost looking like an open tomb. Balance with a natural stone (granite ?) bench top. Then the timber choice is gorgeous but there is too much Consider adding warmth and softness with Porters liquid copper and patina green as a feature wall decorated with tallish leafy plants The timber ceiling is good. hi yes batches are different from batch to batch, but the finishers, toner, and self levellers, grout, are all different and have differing impact of the finish. Two of my Grandsons work in the concrete polishing industry (have for years)and come across this problem every other day. They are so very used to fixing up concrete pourers blues. I do know of some extreme difficulties (some over forty years old under carpet that have had the same problem) that have given my boys a hard time. However, at the end of it, using the right gear, you can literally see your face in the reflection plus the reflected image via the window.
