I am a complete novice when it comes to decorating and I 2nd and 5th guess myself all the time. I have two beautiful Jasper couches in grey (3 seater and two seater), oversized and comfy. That's my base. I'm trying to think about a way to bring coastal/tropical design to the room without all the blues and centrepieces of coral. I love the idea of the tan leather chair with the grey couch, sand coloured basket pots with green foliage plants. My question - am I way off course and will this look utterly rubbish or is this something that can be pulled off? If it's something that could work, I'd love ideas about coffee tables - do I go light wood with black legs to match the chair legs or do I go white? And TV unit (my husband loves his sports so there is no hiding the TV) is it better to go white or should it match the coffee table...any advice would be appreciated!
