I don't profess to be an expert in anything useful. I've two rugs on floor boards and one needs some non slip (avail from Bunnings) and one doesn't. It's quite cheap. I've also seen Martha Stewart add rows of silicon to the bottom of rugs to make them non slip but to me that ruins the rugs.

I don't know about it , can you change it, you can have modern and different but I think your tv unit is mid century style and table is Well I don't know what style it is than you say you want tribal . As someone suggested earlier , stop shopping before you move in it might be all wrong and your taste and ideas might change by then. Trick in decorating is to be patient and only buy when you are absolutely sure that you can take it back. Ha ha.

It does look beautiful. If the computer is used during daylight hours it should be positioned at a right angle to the window. And I did like how the low bookshelf acted as a divider between the home office and the living room (if I've interpreted the photos correctly).
