oh sorry, when I referred to the white section I was thinking of the zincworks, it looks great along side the moose, but more so with the new basmati, because the zincworks is quite grey, whereas the moose alongside the white truffle- the moose has a brown undertone . the zincworks visual texture has a grain direction, perhaps you can have your cabinetmaker have the moose all vertical, while all the cabinets in zincworks could go horizontal. In your case the back cabinets and overheads, including the base island units. If you do agree to do the back bench in Moose, this will only be more impressive with the zincworks drawers below it. These two decors were actually the ones selected for the silk kitchen featured on the brochure, where you can clearly see how well they team up, they are closer together than you would think. If you don't go with the timber accent, use the moose in its place.. except the bar-back panel under the island, go with Zincworks there if timber is not an option, because it will stand out against the moose tall box at the sink end of the island. In situations like these, it depends what you normally use your laundry sink for. If you don't really need a 'laundry' tub as such, I usually recommend that my clients get a nice, comfortable and good-looking bathroom basin that they feel will suit their needs, and install a kitchen sink mixer, instead of a normal basin tap, so that the tap can be moved if you need to use the basin for larger items. Then add a hand towel ring and nice hand-soap dispenser and you have a dual purpose washing area. I always try to install washing machines and dryers in tower units, but not at the cost of benchspace - so it will really depend on the room layout (which I can't quite determine from your photos). Neat overhead storage is a must. Underbench pull-out clothes baskets and broom cabinets are always good, if you have the room. All the best!

I think the safety issue is that with this style, the contents are right at a child's eye-level. They'd be much more tempted to play with this draw. I think you'd have to invest in a good child lock. With a regular drawer style, you could have it a slim profile be the top drawer. Less likely for them to easily see the contents. They might not even know what's kept in there. You could even have push release instead of a handle so it appears there is not even a drawer there. Same could be done for the vertical unit. I'd still want to use a child lock though, if I had a kid around. The knife blocks vary in price A LOT. Just saw 7 pce sets online for $69 on sale, $199, $274, $549... I would hope they include knives! You might be better off grabbing a bunch of the RETRATT blocks from Ikea.

Buy the one that will get the most use.
