I would match the new timber to the colour of your gutter as it is attached to the house. The merbau decking is a great colour so I wouldn't do anything else but the stain in your photo. I can't see any concrete in your photos, and I would question whether it needs to be painted? Quite often painted concrete wears and needs repainting. If you can't live with the bare concrete consider a concrete treatment and imprint pattern where the colour is mixed in with the concrete and lasts forever. I have Monument windows black brick and render in Dulux white duck. The whole inside is painted in Whisper white but it was way to bright for out side. The designer chose the Dulux white duck and I’m very happy with the colour. Looking at your house and imagining without all the scaffold that’s what I would choose. Grab a sample and paint a large piece of cardboard, that way you can move it around and see it in the sun, shade etc, remembering that the scaffold creates a massive amount of shade.

Without knowing roof colour , I'd go a slight apricot or peach tone . It is never going to look modern or trendy , I wouldn't go dark , I would keep away from anything grey or even surfmist or similar , again blues , greens , reds won't work IMO . A warm white sort of might work , but not only will it be boring , it risks looking like a school building or worse . Embrace the 60's , try and add gardens and something with colour like a large glazed pot or similar , even a nice fence or $150 letterbox or something , if you are wanting to look like you care .
