Hi ysteb1 I found a tile that looks like a light beach style hardwood from National Tiles. They are long (1200mm) and narrow but I think the look will be nice. They are suitable for a bathroom so going to try them out.

Thank you for some concrete information. Those samples could actually be different batches of the one colour. The flecks and shading are almost identical. Is the new version the low silica option following legislative changes? If so, you’ve been caught up in a change that was beyond the Manufacturers and your control. It would also explain the same name being used, something typically not done because it causes problems. PS you assumed I’m a guy. I’m not but I do have 25+ years of dealing with contracts, vendors and projects. Half my life is spent trying to get suppliers to do things they may not want to do, and it all comes back to the paperwork particularly the disclaimers and exclusions. I can’t see any resolution for you.

Is your final photo of the vanity you already have? I also thought adding legs would take it back to the MCM you are after. Would be interesting to know how the silver drawer pull is attached. Not sure about painting it matte black as I thought timber furnishings were more prevalent then, but it's totally your choice. I hope you will post updates as you go. I just love mid-century.

Hello Christine Can you quickly photograph all the finishes, eg floor/wall tiels and the colour of the white stone vanity top. Without seeing the actual shades of colour it is a little bit of a shot in the dark. However, reading that you have a pearl white stone vanity top, I would be inclined to NOT have a white vanity, unless you are confident that the two whites work well together. The clue to the choice of the woodgrain is finding a woodgrain with a touch of the colour of the mud tiles, and/or the creamy eggshell tile on the other walls. In this way, you will create a link between the different finishes and textures. The white benchtop will tie in with the white of the WC, handbasin etc. I hope this helps. Take a big breath!
