We found this house in a nearby suburb, and are fairly certain it is Windspray on the Gutter, Fascia and Garage Door with Surfmist on the Weatherboard cladding.

Here is another similar style house, also in a another nearby suburb, with what we believe is also Windspray (Roof, Gutters, Fascia and Garage Door) and Surfmist on the walls.

I love the blue and think it looks great for a coastal house. I would keep the blue and paint the walls a lighter colour.

The grey ones look boring . But I don't like the blue and butterscotch either .

IF you 'insist' on the greys , how about the garage door in 'natural' wooden slats , and the gutters , barge boards , front door and maybe even the garage surround in orange or red or similar to break the boredom , and that pole to the left covered in a wooden column ( same tones as the garage door ) or even a lighter square stone pillar -- a schist or similar ?

It needs some integrated colour IMO , but not sea blue and butterscotch haha !

Actually , looking again -- a budget version !

Keep the butterscotch , but paint everything that is blue in a burnt orange ( slightly more orange than brown , but still a nice rich earthy mix ! ) , including the garage door , the roof and that window shade . $500 and a couple of brushes and a couple of days .

Claassy -- no . Jarring -- no . Pleasant( ish ) and cheap -- yes .

1. Keep the blue ; boards in a cool white and trims and posts in vivid white .
2. Roof and garage in Windspray ; boards in Surfmist ; trims , posts and gutters in vivid white .

I’d paint everything below the gutters surfmist or similar. Including the garage door and post, neither are an architectural feature that needs to be highlighted.

After the painting is finished I’d reevaluate the roof and gutters. Painting them adds future maintenance costs. You may find that the fresh paint and maybe landscaping will be enough to improve the appearance. Blue and white is a classic colour combination for a reason.

The roof unfortunately needs to be replaced. It's the old, discontinued in 2003, "Torres Blue" which has known deterioration problems (UV and salt air breakdown paint so it has become a powdery mess). So the roof is going to change anyway. It's in the budget.

We don't want to go light roof (due to dirty look factors) not too dark (too hot in Summer and make the roof look heavy). So, we had narrowed the roof down to:

Cove - too yellow green for us
Gully - too olive green for us.
Wallaby - possible
Shale Grey - bit light / dirt ?
Basalt - possible
Windspray - leading contender

Then, looking at wall colours, to avoid confusion, we just stick with Colorbond range to narrow the field to get a tone / combination and can then tweak from there. So, we have:

Roof / Cladding (walls)
Wallaby / Shale Grey
Basalt / Shale Grey
Basalt / Surfmist
Windspray / Surfmist
Windspray / Shale Grey

So, with that knowledge, are there any further thoughts on colour scheme?

As you can see, you will probably get as many different opinions as there are people commenting! It's what you like that counts. I really like the Windspray/surfmist combo.

Some people will say 'boring' but to me neutrals are classy and timeless.

Ok if you are replacing the roof anyway I’d def use Windspray. It’s a great colour.
And agree with the Windspray/surfmist Combo.
