Kitchen panic! Please help me decide!
Comments (19)Hi Kate, I have a new floor plan suggestion for you, opening up the Family/TV at the side of the kitchen with double pocket doors that can be closed off to help with heating, the doors can be glass or solid. There's a place for a computer desk which you can keep an eye on the kids. and a nook for bags etc near the kitchen and back door. cheers...See MoreBathroom Vanity Cabinetry - drawer design
Comments (16)hi MB, I agree with your Builder, 1200 wide is too much - One metre wide is the normal standard (this should give you 900mm inner width) .. option A is my personal preference .. BUT, the 445 wide drawers will probably only give you 350mm inner width.. ……….. 350mm * 2 drawers = 700mm inner width ….. versus 1 drawer across of 890width= about 800mm inner width - AND, it will 1/2 the cost of runners … just use an inner-divider for the bottom-drawer (his vs hers) and, divvy up the 2 top-drawers .. .. a 315mm high drawer is pretty deep - it is deep enough to store a 'deep fryer' etc... but, may not be deep enough for some bottles standing-up inside-the-drawer.... ? .. . how much height will you lose? ( it depends on door-profile, runners etc ) ……………. I used a 'shark-edge profile' and lost valuable height ….. so, I recommend that you use a ' j-profile' instead... … 150mm high is a bit deeper than a Cutlery-drawer- so, okay for odds-n-sods. hairbrushes, makeup etc ....,. I am assuming that the Plumbing will only affect the Top Drawers under the basin all the best, ursula...See MoreNeed help deciding kitchen wall colour!
Comments (2)hi there A custom designed kitchen can come in many shapes and sizes. Throughout the years the fashion and trends have changed. Different styles of kitchens are popular in modern homes. The four most popular types of kitchen finishing are a painted kitchen, a vinyl wrapped kitchen, a laminate or melamine kitchen and a timber kitchen. Each type of kitchen has its strengths and weakness. Budget, personal taste and the time which your kitchen was designed all play the biggest roles in impacting the type of kitchen your home might have. The durability or laminate makes it the perfect base to be turned into a painted kitchen. This way you give your kitchen a new life at a fraction of the cost of a complete kitchen renovation. You can easily remove laminate and melamine cupboard doors, draw faces and side panels. When you have removed them, bring them into the workshop to be prepped and painted. Once they are dry they are ready to be re-installed into your kitchen. It’s a simple process that typically only takes two weeks and will leave your outdated kitchen looking like new again. Do not hesitate to sign up for my channel in youtube, there you will learn everything about the design, put the likes, to make a repost)) https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHuY28ATRji4MMfQNC-aPdw Thank you for your attention and the answer, I will be ready to discuss the work in more detail at the time convenient for you, in such a design, as you will be comfortable!...See MoreHelp! Comments (21)I did get a guy out to give me a quote on cleaning and painting the roof. He said he will have to quote it using scaffolding because of the steep roof. That was a couple of weeks ago, but haven't heard back from him yet. I have seen some bad paint jobs of terracotta tiles so am a bit nervous about getting it painted. I wouldn't mind if my tiles were just slightly darker like yours rather than orange, but I do know that the darker they are, the more they will hold heat and Brisbane is hot....See Moremacyjean
