We used this design in our main/kids bathroom. The shape of our room is a bit more square than what I have seen for most bathrooms set out like this though so there is actually space to the side of the shower before the bath starts. I don't find that I need to clean any of it more than I otherwise would but the kids do alternate between bath/shower and don't often wash hair in shower at this stage. I like that all the water/splash/dry off area is contained and that guests can use the toilet/basin without having to walk past shower/bath, as they did with previous layout. We have good ventilation and heating to help the wet area dry out and keep bodies warm when toweling off. I agree that a built-in or back-to-wall style of bath would be a more practical choice. Also keep in mind the size of the shower head and how far/what direction the water will spray. Ours is a fairly modest diameter and over head so the water doesn't spray out everywhere.... I don't let the kids use the hand-held one yet!!!!

Hi Cassie, I think the bath under the window is best idea as you if you want you can have a 1700mm long bath and a big shower with still keeping a 1200mm vanity in the room will give you all three items of a large size. I did a quick drawing of what it would look like with the spacing you gave and the last image is of a bathroom we did with a similar spacing except with a 900 x 900 screen. Hopefully, that helps a little good luck with the renovation

I have decided that it is a bit extravagant for me to have two bathrooms in my little house based on the small amount of times the second bathroom will be used. I am still wanting to have a laundry cupboard that has the washing machine and dryer in it (and maybe some storage or bench space for sorting????), but where the top bathroom was, I am just going to have a walk in robe off the bedroom to the right. It will have a cavity sliding door into the walk in robe. The walls go to 2700mm. To enable the shower to have a width of 900mm in the lower bathroom, the doorway is now going to be moved so that the entry to the bathroom is via a door to the far right. The toilet will now be in between the shower and vanity, so that the toilet isnt the first thing you see when you walk into the bathroom. Can anyone see any issues with the changed design, and can you suggest how to design the walk in robe and the laundry cupboard to maximise storage and function. Should I now make the the bathroom deeper and the walk in robe narrower? Should I make the laundry cupboard wider? PS. If I ever buy another house, it will be one that has already been renovated.....I am not made for design decisions. Thanks in advance for your help.

My B'room is too small to take photos. lol Keep the toilet, shower and basin in the same places but put in a preggy 750 wide basin. By doing this you can put in an 1100 corner shower instead of the rectangular one. cm for cm they are the same size shower. They are made of glass with the door on the angle opening into the centre of the room. You can then put a different shower nozzel on each wall. I have a fixed one and a sliding one. By cutting the corner off the shower you then end up with a bigger area to get dry in. You can wave your arms over the basin and toilet but not through the corner of the shower that you had. By cutting the corner off it makes the room much bigger while still having a really nice good sized shower. Having 2 nozzels means 2 can fit in the shower and keep warm too. All the best.
