I'm considering something similar... I think I read some advice from Abigail ahern a while back about how great plants/ your garden looks against strong dark walls. Anyway, latest inside out had an example using taubmans black fox.

I should add we have a terracotta roof and the gutters are deep ocean (hoping to paint them)

Silk would be interesting, not to mention elegant. As for paints, the Silver Illusion appeals, but it might throw green (not sure). I also agree the Tranquil Retreat is a good one. I'm wondering how big the feature wall is, and what is going on this wall, eg TV, fireplace, large artwork, etc.?

Thanks @mcmahonandnerlich for your considered response! Yours is about the only positive feedback I've had for Vivid White!! I love the cleanness of the test areas we've done but am a bit nervous that we might find it too clinical. Also a bit concerned our bedroom may dazzle our socks off as it will get afternoon sun in winter! Can you allay my fears?! And are you at all familiar with Snowy Mountains Quarter? It has a smidge of black and ochre in it, so is a tad warmer but not as warm as Natural White. Finally, do I need to be worried about the impact of our charcoal polished concrete and charcoal carpet on the final paint choice? If the paint has any black in it will the dark floors bring it out in the paint? Sorry to bombard you but your comments were so apt ... Thanks in advance!
