So we're part way through a new build. All concrete construction, not brutalist but fairly pared back. We have polished concrete floors almost everywhere but switch to timber for kitchen and bedrooms. I can't work out what to do with the ceiling. I really don't want exposed concrete (and it's hard to mount lights and make changes later etc). Could suspend a plaster ceiling but does that work against the concrete aesthetic. Or i could suspend some sort of slatted ceiling which is super functional and allows us access to services but i think looks super commercial. Like the local medical centre gone wrong. Making a slatted timer ceiling in black might help but I'm really after some advice? Anyone had a similar build? And inspo images to help?
