Need your ideas for glamorising my master bedroom
Comments (13)Now that I see your pic, the bedding looks fine. The light should definitely be changed out for a flush-mount chandelier, lots of sparkly things around the room as Darzy says will catch the light from the chandelier. And make sure you out that chandelier on a dimmer switch! The curtains would look so much better if they were silk. The ones in the pic posted above are from Pottery Barn, and also come in gold which would be very attractive in your bedroom....See MoreHelp with Master Bedroom/Ensuite design
Comments (17)I don't think I could cope with an open plan bathroom, I like wet areas to be totally separate, the steam entering the bedroom would be of concern and I would not want to even think about a toilet. We did not even like the idea of having the ensuite opening directly off the bedroom, instead have the dressing room opening off it with the ensuite opening off that. Having the dressing room between the ensuite and bedroom totally minimises noise. I find it far more convenient to walk from the shower directly to the dressing room to dress without even going into the bedroom....See MoreNeed help redecorating master bedroom
Comments (34)Thanks everyone who offered advice. I've attached 2 pics of the almost finished project. Can't show the bed as the picture isn't up yet - my partner went to clean some mildew off the ceiling, didn't secure the A frame ladder and only wearing thongs almost severed his big toe when it collapsed underneath him. So a warning to all! Please don't get up ladders that have not been locked or wear unsafe footwear. The mirror and rug were from Gumtree and I made the curtains myself (thank you Spotlight for a sale on curtain fabric). We're very happy with the results (apart from the hospital visit involved). Statement light fitting also needed at some point....See MoreNeed your thought on the master bedroom layout options
Comments (13)Is N to the top? My wish list would inc window view from bed, bigger bedroom if possible (would sacrifice some WIR space) & as Dreamer noted, WIR between bed & bath to reduce noise & light. I do like the separate rooms for WC & shower in option 2 (very lux hotel) each with window - add louvres for steam & smells :) But window/light for rest of room? Also like bath opp sink nice clean spacious look. If this was against a wall, another window over bath? (Too many windows for you?) What are the views out W & E windows? Is there street/privacy issues anywhere?...See Morebigreader
