I got interested in some ikea solid timber benchtops, not nearly as nice as yours, and thought I'd combo them with black cabinets, white stone and white walls (just a "what if" design). so I totally love your kitchen. it's great how well the tiles look now compared to when you first posted, they really excite me! and the lightshades against the black wall. and what's that dining area I see? that smoked glass table top with timber trestles and black chairs and that black and white rug? where you get those?! I want to see more! congratulations, it's hard not to gush! big ups to Mldesign too.

EVERYTHING! This is the old kitchen in the even older house we have started to renovateStrip everything out, wash nicotine from walls & ceiling and paint (colour undecided), replace cupboards with lime washed or antique white timber, stainless steel bench top that incorporates gas rings and sink on left side (no wall cupboards on that side), Dresser style cupboards on right hand side, maybe an island bench, knock window into french doors to bring in more light, Marmoleum on the floor (probably red).....once the builder has opened up the room by knocking out the walls framing the picture!

We recently updated an apartment to sell and got great feedback from the buyers on the paint - Dulux 1/4 Lexicon low sheen on walls and Vivid White high gloss on doors, picture rails and trims.

Perhaps try Lyttelton Quarter.. or even better, choose your tile first and select the paint to work with the tile :)
