I have removed my vanity and need some advice for the tiling

Hi there!
I have had my vanity removed, and the the original builder did not tile the whole wall, they lay tiles around the vanity.
As such, when I removed the vanity it has the plaster showing.
My plumber suggested that instead of re-tiling everything (I am low budget), we use a large shower panel sheet (where I have highlighted yellow in the picture attached where it would go).
I am just worried that the panels being different colour/texture/finish, right next to the tiles there already would look strange side by side. I can't visualise it.
All the floors and wall tiles are pretty much the same colour, so I think the panels might be a nice way to break it up. I was also going to paint the floors and wall tiles (floors light grey and walls white) but if I do the panels, this might be enough and no painting needed.
Any ideas welcome please!! Especially with colour choices etc.
Please see example of the type of panelling I would use:

Note: the last picture is before the vanity was removed. I am getting the shower screen replaced with semi-frameless with silver fixtures and hinges.
