Artwork for my dining room wall
Comments (9)I can totally imagine a large African painting or print, as it would tie in well with the African type decor pieces you already have. for example my African Rain print (1300x870mm), Matumaini (900x900mm) or Suri Girl below. Otherwise if you aren't keen on the African theme. Go for a more feminine piece of art such as my Charlotte paintings below, these are available in large (120-130cm) and smaller (90cm) prints (sorry originals have sold!) For more feel free to visit my website www.rebekahcodlinart.co.nz I ship worldwide at very reasonable prices :) good luck!...See MoreWall art ideas
Comments (17)Hi Zac, If the tiles are grey then that sounds even better as I thought there was a little too much going on colour wise. It is so hard to tell by a photo sometimes. It would be a shame to change the coffee table, perhaps something organic on it like a wooden bowl or similar would help a little. You need to tie the dining table in somehow because the two rooms for now look like two different homes. The dining table has a country theme whilst your living area looks ultra modern. I see you have a lovely cane basket with a plant in it next to the console table, that sort of thing will help tie the rooms together. I could be wrong but you might find it easier to get a beautiful glossy black or white dining table as it would go with the rest of your decor but then you'd have to cover or paint the bench seat. Decisions, decisions!!!! Love to see pictures of what you decide to do, best of luck. Cheers, Barbara...See MoreWall art advice
Comments (15)I have just made some wall art by covering canvas' in fabric.. there is so much selection in fabrics.. and it is very inexpensive.. For my living room, I chose a beautiful Florence Broadhurst style print. It came in the exact colours I wanted and looks great.. I can also use the fabric to make matching cushions or other décor items.. (obviously without going overboard).. Also, you can get very large canvas' very inexpensively and end up with a statement size piece for little $. Just a suggestion.. I did this out of frustration at not finding affordable wall art that suited my very specific taste / needs....See MoreWall art advice
Comments (11)Thanks Lizzy, we will be putting in a narrow shelving unit on the right hand side and intend to get an 8 seater dining table (probably with black chairs) which will helpful up the space! We previously had a large shelving unit on the left but it made the entrance feel too cramped as it's not a very large room, given we have kitchen/dining/lounge in one. I tend to agree with others that the art needs to be much larger, or if its smaller I need to group them. Wish me luck!!! I'm not very decisive so it may take me a while!!...See MoreJulie Herbert
