Interior decorators specialise in interior and exterior (time for a name change). Paint companies use colour consultants who are trained interior decorators on call. They have access to 4000 colours whereas you may only look at 100. Did you use an architect as they could help or steer you in the right direction in regard to suitable consultants Look on the Houzz top menu for Find a Pro in your area and check their reviews.

I currently have the same problem It quite braves to use White on the floor ( I know you said grey) but we are toying with as it works well with the grey bath we have chosen Have a think about swapping it around to have black on the floor which works great with a contrasting colour bath (white) Also think about contrasting colour for taps (black taps against white or grey tiles)

Is the concrete slab the size of the whole bathroom , or just the new shower area , or just the old shower size ? And where is the drain , especially in relation to the shower head ? Or are you going to bore a new one ? It is therefore maybe possible , depending on the existing floor , to lay a concrete overlay , or even a tileable tray , with a suitable 'fall' to the corner . A tray ensures no leaks , and is often easier to seal against the wall and the glass side wall too . It would probably be 25-30mm taller at the 'open' end , but I'd actually do a cedar or similar raised slat 'mat' area outside the shower to disguise the step or hob .

Is that pic your actual place , or off a brochure ? The door is beautiful , the glass is great , I can't work out if the steps are polished concrete or marble , but basically it all looks classy ! And then that stacked stone looks like someone has run a picture through a black-and-white photocopier , and glued it on -- it looks fake ! Just a hint -- stacked stone doesn't have uniform crisp sharp corners -- and the grout lines should follow around corners too haha . Any sort of tiling may look as bad , or maybe better ; likewise powdercoated aluminium panels will look corporate ( not a good thing on a house IMO ) . If it was me , I wouldn't care if the 'allowance' was $60 -- I'd happily spend $6000 to go genuine ! It will make the whole place look better -- you only have 1 chance to make a first impression ! BTW -- is that $60 in total , or $60 a square metre -- neither will go far ? If budget really is that tight , how about just a plain render . Even thats probably more than $60 ! If thats all you can afford , so be it . But either at build time , or in future , if you have the $$$ , you could add 5 or 6 vertical 40mm x 40mm battens across the front of the column , same style and tone as the door , the full height ( maybe $600 ? ) and obviously referencing the door .
