Want to plan an extension of two bedrooms, one a master with ensuite.

They may also be able to do a 3D scale model so you can see what the new extension would feel like. Interior Designers can also do Floorplan Layout Changes and are able to give you some very original ideas that you may not have considered before. I recently was asked by a client to help with an architect drawing because it wasn't quite what they wanted. I was able to come up with options that worked better for them. Also an interior designer will be able to come up with a design including finishes, fixtures and fittings that will provide you with a complete list of finishes to give to your builder for pricing. Either way the best thing to do is to create a design first as this may take some time to get right. Good luck with your project! MKG...See MoreEnsuite for main bedroom
Comments (43)After reading all the suggestions I tend to agree with Kathy Grant. Why do we need ensuite. I certainly don't like flushing toilet in the middle of the night right next to my bed , or someone having shower at 6 am when I could be sleeping till 8am. Can somebody explain what is the advantage of having ensuite to having just 2 full bathrooms. And not to mention open plan bathroom/ bedroom....See MoreShould I change study back to bedroom to sell house?
Comments (15)Thanks everyone, looks like a popular topic with different viewpoints. In this area ( a country town), though it's a 3 bedroom house, prospective buyers are most likely families who will want to visualise three bedrooms. The lounge and dining area are an L-shape and when I bought the house, they had a study over in the dog leg part. I thought that worked really well and clearly would have been okay to put a dining table in there. The kitchen is large and has a table and chairs there, so either way, I think I'll be okay. Since sitting out in the main room, I actually enjoy this more! I often felt shut away in the study, so I think I'll set it up as a bedroom. I think perspective is incredibly important. I know seeing houses that are empty are so confusing (to me) and seeing furniture in them does help. Lots of food for thought!...See MoreColour advice for bedroom curtains
Comments (28)yes. stallion looks like it is in a sample hanger with all or most of the various colours available. your other photo with the 6 or so swatches looks like all warwick samples. The Bleecker pleat does look interesting. I haven't seen it in Australia. Just remember any 'different' headings will substantially increase your making cost. Making cost is usually not unreasonable in Australia in my opinion as we have regulated wages etc. so making will change depending on how much labour will be involved. the most 'flexible' cost with curtains is your fabric as fabric cost can have a very wide range as you have no doubt discovered. but the making cost is the same whether the fabric cost $25 per metre or $250. the labour is the same....See Moreoklouise
