Looks like you are a single storey house. Pop up into the roof space a see how the roof is supported and what may be in the cavity. It looks like it is connected to something in your bulkhead, maybe a beam. If you can’t get in there get a builder in to quote on removing a structural column. They will work it out and give you options and cost. Sometimes they will have to knock into the bulkhead to work out what is going on. The cavity maybe for electrical switches…
Hi Adam, if your roof is built with Gang-Nail trusses then this wall will not be load bearing. If you can't determine this for yourself though, then you should get a professional on-site inspection / opinion.
