Hi, I like the overall concept of the darkish grey, it suits the home. I am a colour consultant and have been working with the Dulux range for 17 years and you are on the right track with the Guild Grey. The Dulux Signature will give you a dark blue house. Another option if Simone Weil which is just a bit lighter than the Guild Grey, if you find that one too dark. Sample pots and A4 brush outs onto white cardboard are the best way to decide, because computer programs give an overall impression of the "look" but are not accurate with colour choices, you can't beat the human eye. Hi Sandee, being a real estate business you will want to generate trust and professionalism. Therefore, garish colours - lime green - bright red - are probably out. Yes, they attract attention but it may not be from potential customers. I suggest a classy dark charcoal for the walls and a bright white for the windows, doors, and pillars. Add three large tubs, such as wine barrels, with good sized shrubs or small trees to appear more welcoming. Then add a nice sign with your logo and company colours. Good luck. Cheers, Penelope

Thanks so much for the advice everyone! i will talk to my parents about adding a fence, trimming the greenery and doing something about that red brick! me me - they brought the house off the builder in the 90's - its like a weird light grey with the green paint trims - the inside was worse, apricot as far as the eye could eye!

Without knowing roof colour , I'd go a slight apricot or peach tone . It is never going to look modern or trendy , I wouldn't go dark , I would keep away from anything grey or even surfmist or similar , again blues , greens , reds won't work IMO . A warm white sort of might work , but not only will it be boring , it risks looking like a school building or worse . Embrace the 60's , try and add gardens and something with colour like a large glazed pot or similar , even a nice fence or $150 letterbox or something , if you are wanting to look like you care .
