I love that you have modernised the bathroom without taking away the heritage features of the home. Agree, that window is amazing!

At first glance I thought I was seeing a barbers shop. The new bathroom looks great. I don’t like toilets in bathrooms so I’m glad you’ve put it as far a way from the bath as you can.

I don't like white on white on white , so guess what -- I like the before shot better , even with the lights off ! Mind you , that buttery light yellow was dated , and although the bottom half of the room is darker , it had warmth and character . I reckon if the top half had gone lighter ( or even a light mocca tone ) , and simple things like white towels and a white pressed steel seat or similar , and it would have looked , oh I dunno , maybe more timeless than white on white on white !

The before suited the period and style -- the after is try-hard IMO .

How does that shower head reach the bath? it seems like it would just spray water on the floor, and theres not enough space for it to be a standing shower area. its either a bad pic or bad design

The shower head is actually in front of the bath. Wet room style with a shower screen.

Why would the shower head have to reach the bath? There is a separate shower space and then the bath. It looks like tiles are 600mm square so looks as though there is plenty of room for the shower space.

With all due respect you changed the before to after? Still, it’s your home and I’m sure you love it.

It looks like an everyday modern bathroom with a beautiful old stain glasses window and the brass taps trying to fill the gap. Lovely room and it is definitely a transformation more to my taste. Hope owners love it

It's great to read all your feedback and understandably some viewers appreciate the heritage in the original bathroom. We designed the space to suit our clients brief, which was to achieve a modern setting with improved functionality. By altering the floor plan, we were able to create the wet room environment, where the walk in shower sits proud of the feature freestanding bath, with the beautiful leadlight window the perfect backdrop to honour the tradition of the home. We opted for grey shaker profiled cabinetry and subway tiles that are softer elements often used in home renovations of this era.
