Hi, your home looks pretty good, you have done a lot on the interiors. Coming back to the question, yes, you can add a wallpaper behind the television, go for a textured wallpaper as it will create a compliment to your television. As you have decorated with wooden elements, you can go with a bookshelf on the wall. And, there is one more thing which will be a simple addition but will look perfect and that is an antique wall clock. An antique wall clock will make your wall look great without any fuss.

Hello there. I would definitely recommend the one on the right for 2 reasons. 1) The one on the left would be a nightmare to keep clean. Imagine trying to get in and around all the curly bits. 2) I don't think that a tap should be a big feature and call all the attention to it. It should blend into the surrounding space. i also think the outside stairs work better for coming home with the groceries in good weather and, having lived in a similar upstairs bedroom overheating can be a problem: use the best insulation in the ceiling, roof and walls including between the ceiling of the living areas and the floor of the top level (our top level bathroom used to get a hot floor from the heat in the roof space). Shade cloth roller blinds or shutters on the north facing window. (do you like the French balcony?) will improve comfort levels and check out "stack effect" ...having a window open downstairs and a window open on the opposite side of the house upstairs will flush out the house as hot air rises..install closing doors on stairs and hallways to reduce draughts and contain heat in cold weather and add ceiling fans to increase air circulation

I think your current room already feels classic - 1960's. I like it! The Hamptons look is heavier in form but lighter in colour and I think a whole wall of white would be too much. Think carefully about what it is you don't like Hamptons is trendy right now - but will you think of it as classic in 5 years. I think the issue is the handles- and that the middle shelves need to be reworked to fit the Tv. Before you spend a lot i would have a go at styling the shelves- Houzz has plenty of images.
