Colour is a personal choice, but you may find it helpful to visit COLORBOND.COM, click on the Colours menu, then Monument and Dune. Love large floor tiles and floor to ceiling tiles. Is feature wall the window wall ? I'd choose everything to harmonise with benchtop prob white wall save contrast feature and love taupe beige floor tiles and beige white and black combo Would black vanity suit your benchtop I love my laminate black gloss vanity with self close drawers and caroma opal basin (white porcelain) I also like wall and floor tiles same large size perhaps smaller in shower floor for non slip or "gritty" floor tiles eg lappato

People love to kick up a fuss about everything and anything!! If you would like to have the bathrooms upstairs using a different tile to whats downstairs, then do so - as long as there is consistency whether it be in colours, size or shape of the tiles. Seeing as it's going to be from your living room, I'm assuming it will be a non domineering coloured tile, which means that even if it is in the bathrooms and laundry, you could always have an interesting wall tile or colour to bring some individuality into those rooms. I don't think it's a cardinal rule, but from an interiors point of view, too many clashing designs, styles, tiles, colours etc can cause a headache. Also resell - when that time comes, it really affects the valuation as future buyers consider that an on-top expense after purchase.

Hi Caroline, i know what you mean, I'm not a fan of white tiles either because I have young kids but sometimes a room needs them to add light, the following photos all have a wood look feature tile but they all have white/cream somewhere. If you could imagine all of the floor and walls in your dark tile and then a lovely bright white background on just one wall and your wood look vanity I really think it would be fabulous! I think subway tiles may be too busy. A simple white tile would bring so much light into the room! you can add pendants , towels, decor to bring in more colour. Often when looking at tiles In showrooms they look like they will all go, but try and find a photo of the tile you've chosen laid as a whole wall, it often looks much different. I think you should go with what you love though!
