Wall colours with beige carpet — advice please
Comments (12)I've just been looking at your colours, I think the Dulux Dieskau would work the best with the other colours you have to work with, choosing colours is such a personal thing and I know it can be really hard to choose and hope you make the correct choice. Oskuee is right, a paint job can look terrible half way through so you need to make sure you finish to get the proper look of colour. But the biggest thing to remember is it's only paint and it's the cheapest thing to change so if your not happy with the colour you choose you can always try something else. Comments (9)If you prefer to paint the fence, I agree to match colour to downspouts. Also think bigreader makes a good point about landscaping to help minimise or hide the fence. It really depends upon what landscaping you have in mind and if your plan takes the fence into account. If you paint the fence then planting anything too close to the fence will eventually damage the paint. Careful planning and plant choice will give you a better result. Normally my ears prick up when I hear someone say they don't mind something a bit out-there , but I don't think this place wants to be or needs to be -- I'd embrace the era , and go with a 50's soft blue or apricot or mint green . The base boards then could be a more mainstream blue or orange or forest green -- not super bright shades of those , but about 3 times the brightness of the main tone , not 6 or 8 times , if that makes sense . They'd all look good with the white trim , and I personally would have gone for a stronger roof colour , but its pretty neutral so its easy to work with , and won't offend anyone haha . And the fence -- almost certainly a charcoal black stained wooden fence . Within 6 months , as your house starts looking attached to the site , so will the fence fade and weather and not look 'newly done' ....See Moredreamer
