Hello You have a challenge!! Will you also have the pavers pressure cleaned when the render happens? What colour will the render be? I think you have some magnolias growing there at the front. Could they be extended across the entire front to create a hedge for the patio. The single high window is awkward, isn't it? Make it a feature by using two laser cut screens. Place them horizontally - one across the window and the other immediately below. This will allow light into the room and also create a point of interest for the front door. Use your lovely terra cotta pot in front of the screens and add another magnolia. To the left of the front door have a long, lean green wall of living plants - maybe succulents. Complete - do no more!! Cheers

That's great advice re the colours Design Organisation, I've been trying to work out how to choose the right greys to create the same effect as the one in your photo (still looking for a door like it!) Unfortunately budget doesn't extend to replacing the gutters which are that very 80s primrose. I've spoken to builder re your suggestion about the width of the poles and we might now replace them with timber posts, you've been really helpful!

I’d paint them white to work with the house. They are a bit bulky to be highlighting with another colour.

Just as a matter of interest , which parts have you painted white ? A photo would be good haha . I hate painted driveways -- I think they look artifical and tacky , they can peel and look even worse -- I can't think of a positive personally . I'd waterblast or chemical clean ( DIY or get a pro ) and even if not perfect , it has character ! When that 'character' turns to cracks and weeds growing through and puddles then you dig up and re-do , or resurface in some cases , but I'm not a fan of resurfacing either . In other words , I think the driveway isn't too bad -- I could even live with the existing tiles if all the feature fittings were white . Yes , I know , they are slippery and you say cracked -- the bits I can see they look like they'd last a couple more years ? To me , I'd be more inclined to change the garage doors ( or paint if tidy enough ) before I did those tiles , but you know their condition , and your priorities and budget .
