Contemporary/modern sofas - where in US?
Comments (23)to PirateFoxy I have NOT seen sofa bed options but, I have seen their sofas and they are FIRST CLASS all the way. They are upscale product and upscale for a reason. That reason is quality. I would trust an item made by American Leather but, you know its just in the nature of sofa/beds that they are notoriously NOT comfortable so, you might want to work on that "comfort" problem a little more. I know I have wrestled with it as well and finally just bought a "custom made" day bed from an architect/wood fabricator on www.etsy.com. Am waiting for it now! Will look for picture and attache for you and others to see. But, I can recommend American Leather (made in Texas) to everybody....See MoreWhere to put my couches!!!! Please help!!!
Comments (8)HI Kath, Yes the larger lounge needs to be moved in front of the blind and .8M out from it. (you need .8-1.5 meters walkway space between any objects and any less looks cluttered) The 2 seater, needs to be moved 90 degrees to touch, almost, the 3 seater and facing the fireplace. Position or purchase a new square coffee table to fill the void this will create and a matching one in the large space facing the TV. Move the TV Cabinet, which absolutely is too large for the niche, to the large wall. Decorating is about matching shapes and proportions. Pop it all above a rug that sits under the entire lounge suite. You also need two artworks of the same size for either side of the fireplace. As a customised artwork specialist, I would suggest, contemporary styled collages in a your natural palette with accents of red and a green accent. Collages would add much needed texture to your space. Large frames are also required in a metal to match your fireplace. Keeping the colour palette simple, like I've done here, is the key....See MoreI Would Love Help With Furniture Placement & If I should Buy A Couch
Comments (5)From what you have said, I think smaller separate pieces such as couch and chair(s) rather than a large sectional is likely to work better in the space and still allow for traffic flow. However, if you still have lots to do then don't rush to make large purchases. In the meantime, if your current sectional looks better pulled away from the wall a bit, then perhaps you could rotate the side table so that the long side runs parallel with the sofa arm instead of the wall. Would that help to stop it blocking the doorway and resolve the 'not quite right' placement?...See Morewhere can I get this gorgeous sofa
