Glass splash back colour?
Comments (35)Thank you everyone, your thoughtful advice was very welcome. I'm attaching a photo as its all finished. I selected Olive Reserve for the splash back and painted the wall above it the same colour. As its a big room with lots of light and a large window it doesn't dominate. The glass is so easy to keep clean and I love the way it reflects the garden and light. Have to say though some people are stunned into silence when they see it, but as the cupboards and bench tops are quite bland I knew something bright was needed...See MoreAdvice on Laminex Metaline splash back
Comments (2)My builder has used it often and successfully - the Laminex display I visited was very impressive. It doesn't suit our open, U-shaped kitchen but if I were doing a 'strip' kitchen I'd use it rather than glass as its a fraction of the price with the same look....See MoreNeed help with my indoor/outdoor kitchen design.
Comments (7)On first impression It seems the design is inherently working against your desire to have the 2 spaces to "feel separate"; from the screenshot it looks like the kitchen bench design (same modules, colour etc) and the open shelving do not help by making the splash back of the 2 spaces "continuous". Rather than thinking just about different materials and colours - perhaps rearrange the storage/cupboard space to create more visual separation? For example: having some full height cabinets against that dividing wall and have the outdoor kitchen a different design altogether?...See Morekitchen splash back ideas
Comments (2)Hi Nathan, I worry by introducing another colour, it might wreck the overall aesthetics to your kitchen. My initial thought was a white subway tile with dark grey grout so it’s drawing the grey/darker tones from your floor tiles & wall colour - while still lightening things up with the white tiles. You can always use colour with accessories to bring some spunk into your space :)...See More32young
