Step into a sanctuary that dissolves the boundaries between indoors and out. With its vaulted ceilings, panoramic windows and beautifully crafted Tom Howley kitchen, this breathtaking extension has unequivocally become the soul of this historic Perthshire home. Clever storage solutions like the slim pantry and bi-fold drinks bar offer stylish storage and easy access to everyday items as well as your favourite beverages. The large kitchen island allows guests to relax and socialise while the host serves up delicious food. The vaulted ceiling provides a dramatic effect, while the large glass doors at either end of the space flood the room with natural light, making this kitchen the perfect place to relax at any time of day.

In the sought-after affluent village of Radlett, we were commissioned by our client to create a show-stopping masterpiece for their kitchen with an adjacent walk-in pantry. It wasn’t just a kitchen; it was a place where our client would feel right at home with their interior design, daily living and evening entertaining. The brief was clear: warm and luxurious with seating for all occasions and organised storage, a room that could move easily from quiet morning coffee to a long supper with friends. The house gave us a beautiful starting point. Working with the client’s mood board, the vision of walnut for the kitchen quickly felt inevitable, a way of grounding the cabinetry in the same tonal world as the architecture above it. Lighter accents were then layered in, lifting the palette and bringing it firmly into step with the direction interiors are moving in right now: rich characterful timbers softened by quieter, paler counterpoints. It’s a large space, and the cabinetry had to hold its own without overwhelming it. Our Lay-On Slim Shaker was the natural choice: a tailored frame that gives the room structure and rhythm. The slim profile keeps things contemporary, a quietly modernist take on a familiar silhouette. On top of that, we added reeded details to parts of the design, a textured piece that catches the light and gently slows the eye as it moves across the space. The tinted walnut veneer brings out the depth and grain of timber, giving the room exactly the warmth and luxury it asks for and the lighter tone of Rolling Fog Dark gives it space to breathe. A soft colour with just enough depth to feel considered next to the richness of the walnut. This contrast is what makes the room work, and we absolutely love it! At the centre of the room is a large rectangular island holding the whole composition together. It gives the space a clear focal point while giving a generous working surface that a kitchen of this scale deserves. One side leans into character, open-shelving set on solid legs, and on the other, a beautiful banquette wrapping around an L-shape. Set into the heart of the main run, the sink and tap claim their own moment in the design, framed by symmetrical cabinetry on either side. It’s a considered choreography, where the working part of the kitchen takes its place. Above it, bridging the gap between the upper and lower cabinetry, a walnut floating shelf adds a horizontal note of warmth, completed by an Armac Martin Cotswold gallery rail in aged brass. It’s these small pieces of jewellery that nod to traditional detailing. Behind, the splashback steps in as a beautiful backdrop, rising from the worktop in Dekton Arga. The smooth cream surface carries subtle brown-gold veins that intensify its dramatic structure, giving a beautiful, dazzling sheen. This kitchen didn’t just settle for one sink either. A secondary sink sits within the island, dedicated to prep and easy handwashing, so the rhythm of cooking, serving and entertaining never has to cross. An appliance lineup makes no secret of a real love for Miele. A huge bank of Miele appliances in Pearl Beige takes its place within the floor-to-ceiling cabinetry. It’s a quietly confident way to handle a serious amount of kit: rather than scattering appliances around the room, everything lands in one place, beautifully composed. A Smeg induction hob sits flush at the island, while a Siemens glass draft extractor rides behind it. Completing the suite of appliances is the integrated Fisher & Paykel French door fridge freezer. Grounding the whole space are the additional details that reward a closer look. Pocket door dressers with ordered storage, integrated lighting that brings the interiors to life, and the bespoke walnut cutlery drawers carrying the same level of care. The Walk-In Pantry Just off the main kitchen, hidden behind a pocket door, the walk-in pantry reveals itself as a beautiful, organised room. The smart, deep green Lay-On Slim Shaker cabinetry immediately changes the mood. Filled with floor-to-ceiling cabinetry, it gives the pantry a sense of generous, dedicated storage. It’s completed with Armac Martin handles in burnished brass, and the worktops are Carrara quartz. Open shelving set on bespoke corbels sits in front of the T&G wall panelling while integrated lighting picks out everything on display. A fridge sits within the cabinetry, joined by a sink and tap, so the pantry doesn’t just store the contents of a busy household; it actively supports them. Every part of this Radlett project has been shaped from the main room delivering the show-stopping masterpiece, while the pantry behind its pocket door offers a quieter, more intimate counterpoint. Both form a home that’s ready for a quiet morning and a long evening of entertaining. This open-plan and traditionally styled kitchen is bright and cheerful, with a 3-tone palette diving the kitchen into storage, cooking and cleanup. Beaded-Face Frame cabinetry houses beaded shaker doors, hung by exposed butt-hinges and fitted with quintessential knobs. Units are decorated with solid-wood curved cornicing and tongue-and-groove wood panelling. The 3 different colour tones actually cleverly divide the kitchen into 3 separate zones of function: Tall units finished in character oak with beautiful natural grain consolidates an abundance of food storage, alongside the large American style fridge/freezer. The Faded blue island is the designated cleaning and prep area, with an undermounted sink, integrated dishwasher and pull-out bins. A breakfast bar with seating encourages relaxed conversations while another cooks and cleans. Base and wall units painted in soft white house non-consumables and is the primary cooking area, with a large range cooker stationed at the ready, and a dedicated cook-book shelf for serious chefs. Dubbed after our very own town, the Westport range means to exude some of our favourite qualities in a kitchen: thoughtful design, high standard of craftmanship, and a space for friends and family alike.

In this custom-designed family bungalow, the kitchen was envisioned as the heart of the home — bold yet warm, streamlined yet full of life. The clients asked for the need for exceptional storage, a clutter-free environment, and spaces that seamlessly blend function with aesthetics. To meet these goals, we designed a contemporary kitchen with clean architectural lines, natural textures, and intelligent spatial planning. Matte walnut cabinetry brings a deep, organic warmth to the space, while sleek quartz countertops and a dramatic stone upstand and tiled splashback adds striking contrast and visual impact. The colour palette balances earthy tones with crisp white and brass hardware, achieving a perfect equilibrium between boldness and comfort.

Projet Guynemer Une chambre de service que nous avons transformée en tiny house sur les toits de Paris, face au jardin du Luxembourg, notre nouveau bébé minimaliste mais multi fonctions, rien ne manque ! La cuisine avec ses zelliges et sa vasque en marbre noir, comprend un frigo, une plaque, un four, un lave vaisselle et de grands placards de rangement. L’îlot cache la buanderie avec un lave linge séchant. Les deux tablettes rabattables permettent de profiter d’un côté dînatoire et d’un côté bureau, ou de dîner à deux et aux chandelles ;-) Derrière se cache une salle de bain avec sa porte miroir secrète qui permet de renvoyer la lumière, de démultiplier la sensation d’espace et les perspectives. Une grande douche à l’italienne, un meuble avec sa vasque en marbre noir elle aussi, des wc suspendus, un sèche serviette sculpture, comme une grande ! La verrière reprend le dessin de la fenêtre de toit en face, qui donne sur les toits de Paris. On peut admirer la Tour Eiffel en faisant sa toilette si on en a envie! Et quand on est à plusieurs, un store bambou permet de redonner son intimité à la pièce sans empêcher la lumière naturelle de passer. De l’autre côté de la pièce, très lumineuse car traversante avec une fenêtre coté cuisine et une fenêtre côté séjour / chambre, se déploie un ensemble de très belles menuiseries, qui composent une alcôve délicieuse, façon vanlife ultra luxe : sur une estrade, un grand lit deux places au matelas de qualité hôtelière, qui fait aussi canapé quand on reçoit : à gauche et à droite, deux tablettes peuvent même se déployer pour faire table basse, poser des verres, l’apéro ou un ordinateur (il y a des prises RJ45 partout où nécessaire). Quand elles sont refermées, ces tablettes font office de portes aux niches des deux grands placards sur mesure. Le premier contient le ballon d’eau chaude extra plat et ultra silencieux, une penderie, des étagères. De l’autre côté, une grande bibliothèque avec plusieurs tiroirs en partie basse. Elle se prolonge sur tout le mur jusqu’à l’entrée pour cacher le radiateur avec un placard ajouré dessiné par @projet_wabi_sabi , d’autres grandes étagères, deux autres grands placards dont l’un renferme la box, le compteur électrique et des prises pour le petit électroménager. En dessous, encore des grands tiroirs pour ranger plein de trucs. Et si on n’a pas tout casé avec tout ça, il reste un grand tiroir sous l’estrade et même une trappe secrète sous le matelas, façon coffre fort ! Les couleurs : un très joli beige doux et lumineux, du noir mat profond, le fauve du cuir et du cuivre, le caramel clair du bois et de l’osier. The walk-in pantry, conveniently situated next to the kitchen, is a sunny, inviting space, painted entirely in Little Greene Bassoon. This warm hue envelops the room, creating a cheerful atmosphere. The pantry is thoughtfully designed with open base units that lack bottom panels, providing the perfect space to tuck away wooden crates on wheels for easy access. Above, open shelves with charming corbels are ideal for baskets and mason jars filled with dry goods, combining practicality with rustic charm. A white quartz countertop adds a crisp contrast to the room’s earthy tones. Beneath the bottom shelf, a wooden pot rack with s-hooks offers additional storage, keeping the space organized and efficient. This delightful pantry is a standout feature in the home.

The Myers Touch designed this transitional family kitchen which formed part of a substantial renovation project on a property based in Hampshire. Working in collaboration with Adam Knibb Architects to ensure design continuity, the owners briefed The Myers Touch that they wanted a contemporary family kitchen/dining space with a classic edge that would include 'a place for everything'. The design would also have to complement the rest of the home’s design scheme and make the most of the landscaped garden views to the rear of the property. The owners wanted to keep the L-Shaped kitchen shape that had been conceptionally designed by the Architect, whilst making the best use of the property's feature high ceilings. The finished design had to be practical for their family needs, yet elegant and inviting and fully accessible. The Myers Touch proposed a transitional kitchen design featuring a complimentary mix of both classic and contemporary cabinetry that would enhance the home fusions of these two styles. The design scheme was visually impactful and considered the homes environment and materials that can be seen throughout the property. The inclusion of sleek marble effect stone worktops and a traditional Black AGA helped to provide a Classic look, whilst the flat sleek SieMatic SLX cabinetry and large central island created a modern contemporary edge to link the scheme together. The period high ceilings also allowed The Myers Touch to include vital storage with attractive high level glass cabinets. Careful planning of the back L-shape wall was considered particularly in the corner. To maximise the space, The Myers Touch designed a niche to house the toaster, and smaller appliances that could be tucked away and were slightly hidden from view. On the back wall, The Myers Touch designed storage drawers to perfectly line up with the statement AGA. The use of glass and the reflective Bronze mirror also provided eye-catching elegance to the space, as the eye is drawn up to the ceiling, giving the illusion of space. The space also looks particularly inviting at night when the cabinetry lights are lit to provide a beautiful glow & warmth. The custom-made extractor was designed to sit flush between the wall units either side of the AGA and features high performance twin motors and a Zinc Clad finish to provide an element of drama and connectivity of the furniture choices. Sleek 20mm Silestone ex-gloss stone in Yukon were chosen for the worktops and a statement splashback gives a soft reflection and a warming marble effect. Continuing around the rest of the L-shaped room, the return wall displays Miele Cooking & Refrigeration Appliances that are housed in the same cabinetry that join the back run all the way to the end of the Island to fit around the architecture of the room. The kitchen furniture on these two walls use SieMatic’s SC/SE SC10 collection but Keith replaced the doors with a bespoke painted solid oak shaker style frame with stylish Buster & Punch handles in Smoked Bronze which were chosen by the client and Interior Designer. Special display items were housed in the glass display units situated high into the ceiling. For access to those, The Myers Touch designed a functional ladder rail which can be stored in a a niche space around the corner when not in use. To provide a softer and contrasting look in the room, Keith added a Dresser Unit to cover an old doorway which also acts as a transitional point between the kitchen and the dining space. For continuity the soft shaker style furniture is used at the bottom doors with open shelving that sit neatly into the dresser walls. The contemporary central Island was designed using SieMatic’s SLX Cabinetry with a modern Smoked Oak Veneer finish. The angled handle profile sits on top of the units, and underneath the worktop to provide a beautiful haptic feeling that continues all the way round to provide the illusion of the 20mm Dekton worktop 'floating together'. Since the Island's plinth is set back that also provides a similar "floating off the floor" illusion. The ease of use when preparing food and cooking, the front of the island houses the bin, sink, dishwasher and drawer storage. The other side contains storage for food mixers, freestanding baking accessories and overflow crockery. There is plenty of space to the back of the island for bar stool seating which is conveniently situated between cupboards that house oven-to table type items such as everyday crockery, place mats, condiments and napkins. The owners also requested a large Dining Table in the space, so The Myers Touch designed one using a seamless 12mm Dekton worktop in Bergen that sits on top of a custom made steel framed table support and legs that cohesively bring the kitchen, dining & entertaining scheme together. Overview Extension and complete refurbishment. The Brief The existing house had very shallow rooms with a need for more depth throughout the property by extending into the rear garden which is large and south facing. We were to look at extending to the rear and to the end of the property, where we had redundant garden space, to maximise the footprint and yield a series of WOW factor spaces maximising the value of the house. The brief requested 4 bedrooms plus a luxurious guest space with separate access; large, open plan living spaces with large kitchen/entertaining area, utility and larder; family bathroom space and a high specification ensuite to two bedrooms. In addition, we were to create balconies overlooking a beautiful garden and design a ‘kerb appeal’ frontage facing the sought-after street location. Buildings of this age lend themselves to use of natural materials like handmade tiles, good quality bricks and external insulation/render systems with timber windows. We specified high quality materials to achieve a highly desirable look which has become a hit on Houzz. Our Solution One of our specialisms is the refurbishment and extension of detached 1930’s properties. Taking the existing small rooms and lack of relationship to a large garden we added a double height rear extension to both ends of the plan and a new garage annex with guest suite. We wanted to create a view of, and route to the garden from the front door and a series of living spaces to meet our client’s needs. The front of the building needed a fresh approach to the ordinary palette of materials and we re-glazed throughout working closely with a great build team.
