What do you think about this transformation? Would you change anything else? We are adding gas logs and a new cover for the fireplace. What else would you change?
I might move away from the microfiber, depending on use. I also would personally like to see something done with the windows. How often do you use the television vs entertaining? You might consider taking your single seat and turning it towards your other sofas if you entertain and want to have the look of an inviting area for chatting. A coffee table, and/or sofa table could help you as well. Plant/s? Love the colors and changes! Good luck.
The fireplace and room both look fabulous! I wish you hadn't mounted the TV there, however. I think it would have been better on a console opposite the window with art above the firebox instead.
If you're keeping it there, remove the star and the B from the wall. They look disconnected and random. With the TV there, I might leave the mantel bare, or perhaps group three vases on the right and a tall plant on the hearth on the left for balance. Keep it simple.
I also don't like the way the recliner blocks the end of the sofa facing the fireplace. Is it possible to pull the sofa to the left so the two sofas meet at the arms, and then still have room on the right side to enter the seating area?
You could put an end table in the corner formed by the two sofas then.
